Drive for Hope<br />
The 2008 Drive for Hope, organized by the Credit Union Executives<br />
Society, resulted <strong>in</strong> a total donation <strong>of</strong> $80,000 to the “Creat<strong>in</strong>g Hope”<br />
Lung Cancer Campaign to provide facilities, researchers <strong>and</strong> support for<br />
lung cancer research.<br />
The impressive 2008 contribution was made possible by the generosity<br />
shown by the Madison-area community at several events, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g the<br />
3rd annual Drive for Hope golf tournament, held August 11 at Bishops<br />
Bay Country Club; the <strong>in</strong>augural Celebrate Hope party on August 10 at<br />
Capital Brewery; <strong>and</strong> the first Drive for Hope Onl<strong>in</strong>e Auction, which ran<br />
for two weeks <strong>in</strong> July. S<strong>in</strong>ce 2006, Drive for Hope has donated $243,000<br />
to the “Creat<strong>in</strong>g Hope” Campaign.<br />
