If I have the privilege of
being elected as your next
Member of Parliament, I will:
In my most recent role as a trade
specialist at New Zealand Trade and
Enterprise I’ve been given some real
insights into how business owners
in this electorate are coping in the
current economic environment.
I care deeply about the sustainable
conservation of our natural
environment and, in my spare
time, spend as much of it as I can
in Selwyn’s great outdoors hiking,
running, riding and skiing.
9 Lobby for improved phone and internet
connectivity in the most remote parts of
our electorate like the Rakaia gorge
9 Work with local authorities and
community groups to support
projects and initiatives to ensure the
preservation and conservation of our
natural environment, and mitigate the
impacts of climate change
9 Fight for farmers impacted by punitive
regulations and ensure farming
businesses are backed by science and
best international practice to help
farm their way to better environmental
outcomes
9 Support local businesses by pushing for
Government-funded construction and
infrastructure projects
9 Lobby for our region’s rapidly growing
schools to get critical investment
needed to cater for demand
9 Support the growing need for mental
health services in our rural and urban
communities
