DOCTOR OF PHARMACY

CHANGE THE FACE
OF HUMAN HEALTH
Pharmacists practice in nearly all areas of healthcare—from hospitals and community pharmacies
to research and industry settings. Pharmacists are the medication experts on the healthcare
team, and their role is one that is constantly increasing and evolving. If you have what it
takes, you’ll find that pharmacy is about so much more than a job. It’s about a whole life’s worth of
challenging and fulfilling work all done to improve the quality of life for your patients.
WHAT MAKES
ACPHS
UNIQUE?
All students in our six-year Early Assurance PharmD program are guaranteed a
seat in the first professional year (P1) as long as the progression requirements are
met. No reapplying. No PCAT. No competing with your classmates. We’re also one
of three U.S. institutions running student-operated pharmacies to under-served
communities, and we boast a vast network of over 600 pharmacy and clinical
rotation sites worldwide.
LIFE
AFTER
ACPHS
Our graduates enter the field of pharmacy beyond ready to push boundaries
and lead us toward the future. 95% of the 2016 Pharm.D. class secured jobs or
plans for further education before they even graduated from ACPHS. Alumni reap
great reward with a degree from ACPHS, as our 2016 College Scorecard ranking
highlighted the average salary of ACPHS graduates just 10 years after enrolling at
the College is $118,800.
COURSEWORK
AND
INTERNSHIPS
The Doctor of Pharmacy program is split into two years of pre-pharmacy coursework
and four years of professional coursework (P1-P4). Early Assurances students who
complete the two-year Pre-Pharmacy program at ACPHS and meet the stated
progression requirements are on track to earning a Pharm.D. degree in just six years.
The P4 year is entirely comprised of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences, or
clinical rotations.
