PUBLIC HEALTH
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE

CHANGE THE FACE
OF HUMAN HEALTH
Public Health protects and improves the health of individuals, families, communities, and
populations—locally and globally. In the public health field, we are unlocking new ways to
confront global issues by improving access to health care, controlling infectious disease, and
reducing environmental hazards, violence, substance abuse, and injury. Through our bachelor's
degree in Public Health, you'll be given access to the classes, experiences, and mentors you need
to make a difference in human health on a global scale.
WHAT MAKES
ACPHS
UNIQUE?
Our students benefit from small class sizes, a supportive community, and a strong
connection to our core interdisciplinary faculty. Students can choose to take one
of two tracks: Community Health or Health Analytics. Regardless of which track
you choose, the Public Health program culminates with an internship or research
project, both designed to guide students towards discovering rewarding future
career interests.
LIFE
AFTER
ACPHS
Public Health graduates enjoy a wide range of career options—from community
health workers and educators, to program coordinators and research team
members—with salaries ranging from $39,500 to $88,580. Students are also well
prepared for further education and exploration in medical school, law school, or
master's degrees in Public Health, Health Outcomes & Informatics, or Health
Administration.
COURSEWORK
AND
INTERNSHIPS
The program is built upon foundational courses in Humanities, Communication,
Social Science, Basic Science, and Quantitative Reasoning, along with 36 credits
of core coursework and 30 credits of focused track courses and electives.
Real-world experience is also critical to prepare students for their future careers.
Many of our students have recently interned and volunteered for organizations
like the New York State Public Health Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation, American Cancer Society, and the NYS Senate.
