PURAC is the word’s largest and most experienced manufacturer of natural lactic acid and lactates<br />
with four factories around the globe (America, Brazil, Spain and the Netherlands), and continued<br />
expansion plans: a fifth lactic acid factory is being constructed in Thailand.<br />
PURAC products are used in many applications: food, feed, industrial, personal care and pharmaceutical<br />
markets. Lactic acid, both L(+)and D(-), is also used as a monomer for the production of high<br />
quality PLA (polylactic acid). PLA is a very promising new application for PURAC: the bio-plastics<br />
