COMPANY PROFILE<br />
NSTDA is a learning organization committing to strengthen Thai Science and Technology (S&T)<br />
capabilities in areas critical to national economic and social development through four national centers<br />
including The <strong>National</strong> Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), The <strong>National</strong><br />
Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), The <strong>National</strong> Electronics and Computer Technology<br />
Center (NECTEC) and The <strong>National</strong> Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC). Cassava and Starch<br />
Technology Research Unit, a satellite unit under the collaboration between NSTDA via BIOTEC and<br />
Kasetsart University, specializes in utilization of cassava, one of the most important economic crops<br />
of Thailand. The main unit missions include 1) conducting research and development in cassava and<br />
starch 2) supporting and implementing technology acquisition and transfer for the private sector by<br />
providing a range of technical, consulting and training services and 3) supporting human resource<br />
development and capacity for industry demand.<br />
