Pittwater House
Located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches,
Pittwater House is a small, independent,
non-denominational school offering education
for students from Pre-school to Year 12.
With one of the best student:teacher ratios on the
Northern Beaches at just 9.4, our small class sizes
allow every child to receive exceptional attention
from their teachers, who tailor teaching to individual
learning needs.
Twin Schooling
Pittwater House offers an innovative twin schooling
environment in which boys and girls mix on the same
campus but are predominantly educated in single-sex
classes. This provides students with the best of both
worlds: gender-specific teaching methods to optimise
learning and confidence, combined with the many social
benefits of a co-educational campus.
Form classes, as the basis of our extensive pastoral
care programs, remain single-sex from Kindergarten to
Year 10. This ensures a nurturing environment where
students feel comfortable raising sensitive issues.
Outside the classroom, students socialise in stageappropriate
co-educational playgrounds and spaces and
participate in co-educational school events, leadership
programs and co-curricular activities. This enables
our students to develop the skills and confidence to
work, collaborate and relate to their male and female
counterparts setting them up for success in university
and the workplace beyond.
Student Growth
Student growth is a key focus of Pittwater House,
reflected in our School motto semper diligens –
Latin for ‘always hardworking’.
In 2019 the School was ranked 85 in NSW in the
Sydney Morning Herald’s Top 100 Schools report based
on HSC results. 18% of our Class of 2019 achieved an
ATAR of over 95%, with many reaching the All Rounders
and Distinguished Achievers lists.
Similarly, in Performing and Visual Arts, Pittwater House
received a total of 13 HSC Showcase nominations
across Dance, Drama and Visual Arts, with students
selected to perform at ‘Callback’ and exhibit in
‘ARTEXPRESS’.
Our students are offered a range of co-curricular
activities designed to stimulate physical, emotional,
psychological, social, creative and spiritual
development. Through this well-rounded approach each
child can discover and nurture their own unique talent.
In 2019, Pittwater House witnessed outstanding
student sporting successes, including representations
in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the Australian Youth
Women’s Water Polo Squad, the Australian Gymnastics
Championships and the Cross-Country Skiing
Championships, to name a few.
Pittwater House offers multiple opportunities for
students to attend life-changing international
educational expeditions, such as World Challenge and
CASE Space School.

Our 3.5 hectare campus offers more green space
than any private school on the Northern Beaches,
