Mater Maria Catholic College is a co-educational systemic school for Years 7 to 12,<br />
located in the tranquil bush setting of Warriewood Valley. It is the only<br />
co-educational Catholic secondary school in <strong>Sydney</strong>'s northern beaches and<br />
welcomes all families who are seeking a faith-based, co-educational, quality<br />
education for their sons and daughters.<br />
With newly opened buildings and specialised learning spaces for STEM, digital<br />
learning, drama, fitness, hospitality, languages, music, science, timber, textiles and<br />
visual arts, the facilities at Mater Maria are modern and equipped to offer engaging<br />
and creative ways of collaboration and communication.<br />
Its new learning resource centre and student learning hub provide students with an<br />
excellent educational experience focused on deep learning, positive support<br />
networks and an infinite array of opportunities. Students are challenged and<br />
supported to realise their potential with a focus on maximising individual growth.<br />
The College provides opportunities for a variety of academic pathways.<br />
The College offers an extensive extracurricular program in creative and performing<br />
arts and is well resourced with an impressive auditorium ‘the Byrne Theatre’. An<br />
equally impressive gymnasium offers multiple sport opportunities and a gathering<br />
space for College events. With a huge oval, outdoor court, cricket nets, students<br />
have a vast array of sporting opportunities available to them and teams regularly<br />
compete in the Broken Bay Sports Association and the Peninsula Cup. Elite sporting<br />
pathways are open to Mater Maria students and the College proudly supports many<br />
students onto higher sporting honours.<br />
A range of significant liturgical events are celebrated by the students and staff in its<br />
beautiful modern chapel which is located centrally in the College grounds.<br />
