It was opened in 2015and incudes a Central departmentstore, an Ikea store and aCineplex.In second place is the iconicIcon Siam mall in Bangkok with aleasable area of 525,000 squaremeters. A dazzling fountain showusing high-pressure water jets attractsvisitors as well as the mall’sriverside location.The well-established Central-World and the famous Siam Paragon,both in central Bangkok, take3rd and 4th positions with 429,000and 300,000 square meters ofleasable space respectively.Outside of Bangkok, in 5th position,is Central Phuket, also with300,000 square meters of leasableareaCentralPlaza Nakhorn Ratchasima,Future Park Rangsit, Kadsuankaewin Chiang Mai, CentralFestival Pattaya Beach, and MegaBangna in that order take the remainingfive positions in the topten. All have over 200,000 squaremetres of leasable space.MOST POPULAR CARSAND PICKUP TRUCKSIN THAILANDThailand’s best selling vehiclescontinue to be dominated bypickup trucks but there have beensome interesting changes over theyears.In 2020 the Toyota Hilux was, atthe time of writing, the best sellingmodel overall with sales of 107,110units.
