important part of the catering industry.<br />

However, getting the most out of it<br />

is a challenge because guests want<br />

to sit outside as long and as often as<br />

possible. Therefore, solutions must be<br />

found from the first rays of sunshine in<br />

spring to the showery days in autumn.<br />

Especially in holiday regions, the aim is<br />

now to use the terraces all year round.<br />

Consequently, there are plenty of topics<br />

for presentations and discussions on<br />

the Gastronomy Day at the <strong>R+T</strong> <strong>digital</strong>.<br />

Whether at a city café in a parade of<br />

shops, on a lakeside terrace, for an appealing<br />

beer garden or outside a mountain hut,<br />

attractively designed outdoor spaces have become<br />

an important meeting place for people,<br />

because the first rays of sunshine draw people<br />

outside. But even in windy weather, guests want<br />

to be out in the fresh air and let the wind blow<br />

“lightly” around them in a sheltered atmosphere.<br />

For the catering and hotel industry, this means<br />

creating new customer potential and additional<br />

sales opportunities. Therefore, decisions have to<br />

be made as to which concept and which products<br />

are suitable for outdoor operations. This is<br />

precisely where the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre<br />

concept comes in, namely to bring together the<br />

worlds of INTERGASTRA and the <strong>R+T</strong> with the<br />

concept of OUTDOOR. AMBIENTE. LIVING.<br />

Already a tried and tested concept<br />

The special exhibition OUTDOOR. AMBIENTE.<br />

LIVING. has already been successfully integrated<br />

twice (2018, 2020) at the INTERGASTRA hotel<br />

& gastronomy trade fair in the Rothaus Park<br />

on the grounds of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.<br />

Top industry players recently presented their<br />

high-quality sun and weather protection products<br />

on more than 750 m 2 in the outdoor area<br />

of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. From slatted<br />

roofs and awnings to pergolas and sunshades –<br />

Unfortunately, we will have to do without an outdoor exhibition this year, as we did in 2020. But<br />

from 19 to 23 February 2022, the special show OUTDOOR. AMBIENTE. LIVING. will be held once again.<br />

been able to develop this project so successfully<br />
