Archaeologists believe theyhave discovered the world’s oldest-knownrepresentational artwork:three wild pigs painted deep ina limestone cave on the Indonesianisland of Sulawesi at least 45,500years ago.The ancient images, revealed thisweek in the journal Science Advances,were found in Leang Tedongngecave. Made with red ochre pigment,the painting appears to depict agroup of Sulawesi warty pigs, two ofwhich appear to be fighting.
