NOTTINGHAMSHIRE VIRTUAL ROCK CHOIR - We are
currently running a virtual Rock Choir on Zoom/YouTube
weekly in term time. NEW MEMBERS always welcome.
Why not come along for a taster session at one of our Rock
Choirs in Nottinghamshire today. No need to audition or read
music. Visit www.rockchoir.com for more info and to sign
up for a free taster session.
ROCK ‘N’ SOUL SINGERS - Covid-19 has not stopped us
completely. We meet up weekly via the Zoom channel and
keep singing! We are planning to rehearse and record more
items for this year, which will keep us busy. Like all singing
groups, we are waiting until we can safely meet once again!
A visit to www.rocknsoul.org.uk or facebook.com/
rocknsoulsingers will give you links to our recordings and
information.
WOODTHORPE SINGERS - The Woodthorpe Singers are
very happy to announce their next concert on the 8th May
2021, again like our Christmas Concert and to ensure we are
socially distancing safely, it will be a virtual event rather than
live to an audience.
Nevertheless we hope to have an extravaganza of songs for
you, your family and friends to join in with.
Our Christmas concert was well received, with charitable
donations exceeding all our expectations. If you wish to
contribute or would like to join in the fun, or would like more
information about our weekly sessions, then please contact
our choir master Tina Hewitt via email: tinahewitt51@
hotmail.co.uk or text/call 07742 670732
SINGING FOR FUN SHERWOOD is online using Zoom for
the moment. There is no requirement to read music and
no experience necessary. We sing on Monday evenings
from 7.30pm to 8.45pm. For more details email Bronwyn
VIRTUAL CARRINGTON TRIANGLE FOLK CLUB - runs
every Wednesday evening until we can go upstairs at
the Gladstone again. If you would like to sing or play an
instrument or just listen, mail Marion: m.smalley@ntlworld.
com and she will send you an e-mail with the zoom ID,
passcode and other information.
SATURDAY SINGERS- Like all choirs we have been
unable to meet in person throughout the pandemic. We
have however been meeting regularly every Saturday
morning on Zoom, just as a social event, with members
sharing their experiences in the preceding week, making
recommendations about on-line productions they have seen,
and safe walking locations they have discovered etc.
We have also taken the opportunity to update our website
which can be seen at www.thesaturdaysingers.com
Now that the vaccination programme is well under way, we
are looking forward to meeting together again as soon as it
is safe to do so and welcoming new members.
