Hamaxia<br />
Antique City<br />
In Alanya there are several antique citys.<br />
One of them is Hamaxia.<br />
It is located 6 km west-north of Alanya at the<br />
small village of Elikesik.<br />
Here the locals call it "castle of flies".<br />
The story of Hamaxia dates back to old ancient<br />
times. You get there by car, but have to walk the<br />
last few meters.<br />
Especially the ruins of the old fortress is worth<br />
exploring. Don't forget to take your camera with<br />
you.<br />
The views towards Alanya are amazing.<br />
And with a little luck you will see the local<br />
turtles. Hamaxia is not the most beautiful nor<br />
the biggest antique city in the area.<br />
But it is much more tranquil and less visited<br />
than the others.<br />
Bring your own coffee, some snacks and a good<br />
book. Then fınd a spot in the shade and enjoy<br />
the ambience.<br />
One last piece of advise. The visit to such places<br />
can be tiring and the roads are not the best.<br />
So be careful and take care.<br />
