Medicines and pesticides to keep<br />
animals and plants healthy are more<br />
important than ever to ensure an<br />
abundant, healthy food supply.<br />
Industry association Agcarm insists<br />
stocks will not dry up.<br />
‘‘We are not going to run out of<br />
pesticides or animal medicines,’’<br />
Agcarm chief executive Mark Ross<br />

are well prepared, sourcing materials<br />
months in advance.<br />

‘‘Our animal health and crop<br />
protection manufacturers are relying on<br />
shipping to transport goods to prevent<br />
price hikes for the end consumer,’’ he<br />
said.<br />
This was proving to be reliable and all<br />
shipping routes remained open.<br />
This, he said, meant that the nation’s<br />
primary sector could forge ahead as<br />
normal.<br />
