EdItorIal Dear reader, For the last five years, we at Serviceplan have been preparing for the challenges posed by the growing pervasiveness of the Internet. The fact of the matter is that, thanks to the Internet, the world of advertising is becoming increasingly globalised – yet still remains local. The question is how we, as the largest owner-managed agency in Germany with 1,230 employees, will respond to this megatrend. We are now represented in 21 locations throughout Europe, America and Asia – in some cases with our own branches, in others through investments and partnerships. We use globalisation strategies for international campaigns that still need to observe local specifics. So we don’t adapt – we localise. Which means that the Internet is at the heart of our cross-media strategies. It is the most important media and advertising platform of the future and will account for over 50 percent of spend in the years to come. To highlight this phenomenon, we use the name of our digital agency for our global business and call ourselves “Plan.Net International”.
