May 8 — Paws In The Park<br />

Downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park hosts<br />

the 27th annual Paws in the Park pet festival,<br />

including adoptable pets, doggy sports, a<br />

costume contest, photo stations, doggy fun<br />

zone, pet-friendly vendors, food trucks and<br />

more. Attendees are encouraged to register<br />

now and start fundraising. Participants who<br />

raise $15 receive a commemorative dog bandana,<br />

and those who raise $75 receive an<br />

event T-shirt. Paws in the Park is also featuring<br />

a virtual component this year for people who<br />

prefer to take part from home. Time: 10 a.m.-<br />

4 p.m. Admission is free. Proceeds benefit<br />

Critters<br />

The Crazy Plants Nursery, 22919 County<br />

Road 44A, Eustis, hosts the Crazy Plants for<br />

Crazy Critters plant sale fundraiser to raise<br />

funds for a construction project for rescued<br />

birds. Time: Wednesdays-Saturdays from<br />

10 a.m.-3 p.m. The nonprofit offers nondomestic,<br />

nonreleasable animals a safe, permanent<br />
