Consider turning off outside taps to avoid
freezing and bursting. Covering water
tanks and pipes is a cost-effective way of
preventing this and reduces heat loss.

and security
With the evenings being darker earlier,
frosts on outdoor steps, decks and pathways
are a slipping hazard.
