Students can earn an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Journalism<br />
while learning from leading academics and professionals. This joint programs focus on the critical thinking, research,<br />
writing and communications skills needed to examine issues concerning news media, journalism and society. Students<br />
learn to tell a story from every angle, in every media form relevant to today’s audiences. Graduates take with them a<br />
portfolio demonstrating experience gained from producing a real community newspaper, online publications and internet<br />
radio, and are ready for professional careers in the media or in public and private sector communications.<br />
• Earn a University of Toronto Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and a Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Journalism.<br />
• Your portfolio includes experience producing a real-world community newspaper, online publication and internet radio.<br />

Students in New Media can earn anHonours Bachelor of Arts and an Ontario College Certificate while learning from leading<br />
academics and professionals. The program focuses on the critical thinking, research, design, communication skills and<br />
experience needed to analyze the impact of media on culture today. Students master the techniques necessary to<br />
transform the world in a knowledge-driven society. Graduates take with them a portfolio demonstrating their creative<br />
abilities and academic expertise and are ready for careers in any organization requiring creative thinking in media and<br />
communication.<br />

• Explores the effects of digital technology on traditional forms of media with focus on content creation using digital tools<br />
for many kinds of interactive media.<br />

Students in Paramedicine earn an Honours Bachelor of Science degree and an Ontario Diploma while learning from<br />
leading academics and professionals. Unique in Canada, the program is grounded in the fundamentals of life science and<br />
focuses on the critical thinking, research and laboratory experience needed to save lives. Students examine and are<br />
immersed in the spectrum of emergency medical, trauma and psychological situations facing today’s healthcare<br />
professionals. The program prepares students for the Ontario Ministry of Health Advanced Emergency Medical Care<br />
Attendant (AEMCA) exam and positions graduates for advanced careers in the field of emergency medical services.<br />
• Earn the U of T Honours Bachelor of Science degree and Centennial Paramedicine Diploma<br />
• Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Ministry of Health Emergengy Care Medical Attendant exams required<br />
to qualify as a paramedic<br />
