"We sense that ‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a

new normal: a new kind of society, a new relationship to the earth, a new

experience of being human."- Charles Eisenstein

Unfortunately, pandemic life is the "new normal" and not an excuse to blow

off the continuous learning of an individual. Starting a new school year with this kind

of situation and new environment means more patience, commitment and effort.

We have to push ourselves and believe that everything would be possible. Yes, it's

quite difficult, but we need to cope up and adapt ourselves to this kind of reality.

Kalayaan Elementary School supports the goals and objectives of the

Department of Education. We in the academe encourage students to continue their

learning. Blended learning is being introduced-the online class and modular learning.

Online educational platform-the DepEd Commons is also available. Teachers are

being upgraded also by attending webinars and virtual In-service trainings.

KES also supports the Department of Health's campaign on how to deal and

cope up with this COVID-19. We see to it that the school is always clean and free

from harm. The school implements the strict wearing of face mask and face shield,

proper handwashing, use of sanitizers, monitoring of ones temperature using a

thermometer scanner and disinfecting the school facilities every week.

The new normal education is at stake without the equal cooperation of the

learners, teachers and parents. Full cooperation is needed. Everyone must have a

role to play and must take it seriously. No one is left behind, together we heal and

stand.

KES remains steadfast on its journey to bring forth excellence even in this

new normal.
