• Interstate I-5 Freeway is completed.<br />

• Boys & Girls Club of San Dieguito (1221 <strong>Encinitas</strong> Blvd) opens in <strong>Encinitas</strong><br />

in a donated temporary building.<br />

• <strong>Encinitas</strong> Branch Library (540 Cornish Dr.), proudly opens its modern 4,100<br />

square foot round facility.<br />
