Covid drive through clinics Cantabrians can receive covid vaccinations fromthe comfort of their own vehicles with a monthlong drivethrough vaccination clinic being run at Addington, in Christchurch. No appointments are necessary. The drivethrough clinic is open to anyone Canterburywide to get as many eligible people as possible their first dose by Labour weekend,with second doses done and dusted before Christmas. The daily clinics are on at the ChristchurchArena in Addington, via the Wrights Road entrance, from Monday to Friday from 1.30pm to 7.30pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. They run through until October 31 andpeople can have their firstorsecond dose vaccinations. Althoughthose attending are asked to cancel any existing vaccination appointments they have booked. The purpose of this role is to providecommunity members with support to access mental health and social wellbeing information and support services in response to the shortterm and longtermeffects of theCovid19 pandemic. The role will deliver assistance with getting people back into employment andother life activities, including interacting with government agencies, if andwhen needed. The Community Connection Service takesanactive approach to ensuring people areable to access information and services across multiple government agencies and service providers. This service is related to employment, education, crime and familyviolence prevention, civic engagement andbroader family andcommunity wellbeing. Aiming to enhance and complement other ‘connector/ navigator’ typeservices by: •Increasing the: workforce available to support peopleand whānau, and, the number of people and whānau who are able to access aholistic service model . •Expanding the availability of connection services Jenny Rae (geographically). •Strengthening integration between community and government organisations. We can supportyou to: access information and services, create plans andset goals, access financial support/budgeting.
