My highlights to date are winning the Commonwealth Championships in<br />

2006 and the silver medal as part of the World Junior Championships both<br />

held in front of a home crowd in my home pool. Also touring as part of the<br />

National Team and winning the Bronze medal at the 2006 Holiday Cup in<br />

the USA. Representing your country is always special.<br />

<strong>Australia</strong> both in Trampolining and Water Polo, Zoe was a member of the<br />

<strong>Australia</strong>n Junior Water Polo Team, and my brothers have represented<br />

<strong>Australia</strong> at Rugby Union.<br />

WHO HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE IN YOUR LIFE AND<br />

WHY? I would have to say both my family as they are always there to give<br />

support and advice and John Green and family, John became a<br />

quadriplegic after a rugby accident 18years ago and through his journey<br />

has made me aware of what is truly important in life.<br />

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS? What you<br />

see.<br />

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED? Someone who loved<br />

what she did and always worked hard to be the best that she could be.<br />

WATER POLO SHORT TERM GOALS: Make the World Championship<br />

Team.<br />

WATER POLO ULTIMATE GOAL: Olympic Games<br />

PERSONAL AMBITIONS: Stay healthy, have a family and be successful.<br />

HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED ANY OBSTACLES DURING YOUR<br />

WATER POLO CAREER? Like anyone else injuries have played a part in<br />

my career. I have had both my hip and knee operated on but thanks to a<br />

great support staff particularly my sister Alison who has been my physio I<br />

have been able to achieve what I have achieved to date.<br />

WHAT AGE DID YOU START WATER POLO AND WHY? 10 years old<br />

when I started flippaball (mini water polo), I started because my older<br />

sisters played so I just followed I guess!<br />

FAVOURITE WATER POLO PLAYER AND WHY? Simone Hankin<br />

because she has been the best coach and a really great friend.<br />

FAVOURITE ATHLETE AND WHY? I admire all athletes as they all work<br />

hard to be the best that they can be.<br />
