NEWYEARTRUCKS
New year, new truck for J&J Campsie
Based in the historical town of Biggar, Lanarkshire
J&J Campsie have been serving their local
community for more than 60 years. A fuel station
and convenience store compliment the full garage
services they offer including repairs, MOT’s, tyres and
obviously recovery for many of the major motoring
organisations.
Whilst J&J Campsie have held on to traditional core
values through the decades, the company has embraced
modernity and operate a very efficient up to date fleet.
The first recovery truck J&J Campsie owned was an
ex-Army Bedford and Michael can recall his father being
called out to one of their first recoveries, it was for a
Classic Triumph Herald, 63 years later, the most recent
truck to join the fleet is an Iveco Daily Crew cab fitted
with J&J Conversions F1 aluminium Low Approach slide
bed.
Michael and the team at J&J Campsie commissioned
their latest F1 Low approach to a very high specification whilst
retaining an excellent payload. Additional strobes and Hula blitz
flashers along with their eye catching livery ensure a very visual
presence and the aluminium bed fitted to a fully galvanised sub and
tilt frame should ensure it stays looking sharp for many years to come.
J&J Conversions Ltd first supplied J&J Campsie over 20 years ago
and are delighted that Michael’s next build, a 15 T Iveco Crew cab is
already underway.
