INTRODUCTION.<br />
AP Racing offer a range<br />
Concentric Slave Cylinders<br />
suitable for use with<br />
most push type racing<br />
clutches.<br />
These Concentric Slave<br />
Cylinders are lightweight<br />
hydraulically self-contained units that mount on the<br />
transmission casing and operate the clutch directly.<br />
The one piece die cast aluminium alloy body is lightweight<br />
and compact, the units feature an integral<br />
piston support tube, high temperature seals and<br />
scraper ring plus a special high tech. low friction<br />
coating. Two of these units are interchangeable with the<br />
Saab derived Slave Cylinders that are in widespread<br />
use, but are hydraulically self contained and independent<br />
of the gearbox and therefore do not require an oil<br />
seal over the input shaft. The Slave Cylinders are<br />
supplied complete with a release bearing in a choice<br />
of three fulcrum diameters.<br />
GENERAL INFORMATION.<br />
Ensure that the unit is installed in the correct position,<br />
with the bleed port uppermost as shown in the<br />
installation drawings that follow. All fi ttings intended<br />
to seat at the bottom of the hydraulic ports must have<br />
an included angle of 90°. Details below apply to all<br />
slave cylinders within the range:-<br />
- Body& Piston Material = Aluminium Alloy.<br />
- Effective Area = 920mm² (1.426in²).<br />
- Max Pressure = 6.9Nm² (1000psi).<br />
- Fluid = PRF660, 600 or other high quality fl uids.<br />
