Total Health Products, Inc. is a distributor of medical products to physicians and
contract marketing organizations (CMOs). One of the nation’s largest fulfillment
houses for the pharmaceutical industry, offering over 40,000 items, such as medical
equipment, supplies and textbooks, primarily through its catalogs and the Internet.
Barrington Associates assisted in the negotiations and acted as financial advisor to
Total Health Products, Inc. on its merger with Medsite.com, Inc.
Vitaland Walmark Advisor to seller
During the second half of 2004, WOOD & Co was mandated to sell Vitaland, the 65store
retail chain selling nutrition supplements, vitamins and various kinds of diets
in the Czech Republic. Vitaland was developed by private individuals as completely
new business concept in the Czech Republic aiming at development of network of
small shops located in newly arising shopping centres and shopping malls. Most of
the products is sold under brands owned or developed by Vitaland.
WOOD & Co has organised selling process for a limited number of investors. In the
beginning of 2005 Vitaland was sold to Walmark, the largest independent Czech
generic producer with ambition to become a regional strong market player.
Walmark intends rolling the concept of Vitaland to other CEE countries such as
Slovakia or Poland.
