2 System Setup
'System Setup' takes you through the basic steps necessary to set-up Siliconcoach Timewarp.
Timewarp is very easy to use and within minutes you will be up and running. To get started, all you
need to do is:
1. Activate the software
2. Configure your system
If you already know how to do this, then check out the "What's new" and "How do I...?" sections .
2.1 System Compatibility
Timewarp makes use of the latest in video and computer technology but will still work on most
Windows PC computers dated 2008 or newer.
Timewarp System Requirements include:
Operating system: Windows XP SP2 or later, Vista, Win 7 (32 and 64 bit).
A dual-core processor.
Screen Resolution: minimum of 1024 x 768. A bigger screen will be better however a very
big screen may make it run slower.
At least 10 GB of free disk space. Note that the more free disk space you have, the
longer you can record for. Timewarp uses about 5 GB of space per house of recording.
RAM: Depends on operating system but a minimum 1 GB of RAM but we recommend
that you have at least 2GB.
Camera: Mini DV digital video camera connected via Firewire (IEEE 1394) or a camera
connected using the A/V out plug then into a USB converter.
2.2 Activating your Software
The Activation/Registration system in Timewarp 4 now offers you a whole new level of flexibility.
If you are connected to the internet you can now check your license back up onto our web based
License Server, go to another computer, load Timewarp 4 on that second computer and then
download your license to activate that second copy.
In effect you could have copies of Timewarp at work and at home, and then move the license
between both places (but not at the same time!).
Getting your software to work is a 2 stage process, first you will Activate the software then
Register yourself as a user.
Step 1: Activation
If the software is not already on the
computer, install it from the downloaded
file.
Now start the application from the icon on
the desktop.
