Click OK to finish 4.18 Deactivate using a Web browser If your License Number is not inserted automatically, you need to enter it manually. This can happen if you have done a manual or Web Browseractivation. Now the copy of Timewarp 4 will not work on this machine. To re-activate it on this or any other machine follow the Activation instructions. Always try to use the normal deactivation process first, however the Activation Manager can fail if your Firewall or and Proxy Server prevents a connection to our server being established. If this happens here are some tips to help you: o If prompted by your antivirus or firewall software to unblock ‘activationmanager.exe’ please do so. o If you do not get this option and the process is blocked, get your network administrator to allow access to ‘activationmanager.exe’. o If you know that you use a proxy server and know what the settings are then you can enter them into the Activation Manager by clicking on the Proxy Settings button and then placing a check mark in Use proxy server. Now enter your proxy server address and port number and then click OK. These settings will be stored for future use. If you still can't get the Activation Manager to connect to our server then use the option below. The following steps will deactivate Timewarp 4 and check your license back up onto our Web based License Server using a Web browser. You may want to do this when you decide to move your license to another computer. WARNING, READ THIS FIRST: YOU MAY LOSE YOUR LICENSE PERMANENTLY. Don’t use this option unless you fully understand how do do it. If you don't work through the process correctly you can loose your license. We recommend you only use this option if you can't get the Activation Manager to connect via the Web normally or you are directed to by a Siliconcoach user support representative. Windows START then ALL PROGRAMS, then TIMEWARP 4, then ACTIVATION MANAGER. Step 2 The Activation manager will start. Select the MANUAL DE-ACTIVATION option. Step 3 Press the "2. Use the browser to return ..." link. You are doing this to check that you can access the correct web site. If the correct web page does not appear then do not continue! The correct web page should look like the image in Step 8 below except it will not have any numbers in it yet.
