4.18 Deactivate using a Web browser<br />
If your License Number is not inserted automatically, you<br />
need to enter it manually. This can happen if you have<br />
done a manual or Web Browseractivation.<br />
Now the copy of Timewarp 4 will not work on this machine.<br />
To re-activate it on this or any other machine follow the<br />
Activation instructions.<br />
Always try to use the normal deactivation process first, however the Activation Manager can fail if<br />
your Firewall or and Proxy Server prevents a connection to our server being established. If this<br />
happens here are some tips to help you:<br />
o If prompted by your antivirus or firewall software to unblock ‘activationmanager.exe’ please do<br />
so.<br />
o If you do not get this option and the process is blocked, get your network administrator to allow<br />
access to ‘activationmanager.exe’.<br />
o If you know that you use a proxy server and know what the settings are then you can enter<br />
them into the Activation Manager by clicking on the Proxy Settings button and then placing a<br />
check mark in Use proxy server. Now enter your proxy server address and port number and<br />
then click OK. These settings will be stored for future use.<br />
If you still can't get the Activation Manager to connect to our server then use the option below. The<br />
following steps will deactivate Timewarp 4 and check your license back up onto our Web based<br />
License Server using a Web browser. You may want to do this when you decide to move your<br />
license to another computer.<br />
WARNING, READ THIS FIRST: YOU MAY LOSE YOUR LICENSE<br />
PERMANENTLY.<br />
Don’t use this option unless you fully understand how do do it.<br />
If you don't work through the process correctly you can loose your license.<br />
We recommend you only use this option if you can't get the Activation<br />
Manager to connect via the Web normally or you are directed to by a<br />
Siliconcoach user support representative.<br />
