It was commissioned for Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, who was the Maharaja of the princely state of Patiala. The necklace featured five chains and included a neck collar. 2,900 diamonds appeared in the piece, including what was then the world's seventh largest diamond, the De Beers. In 1948 the Patiala Necklace was reported as missing. In 1998, part of the necklace was discovered in a second-hand jewellery store in London by a Cartier associate. A number of the diamonds and rubies were missing. Cartier purchased the necklace and pursued a restoration featuring replicas of the original gemstones, which took four years to complete. 3,763,938 POSTS #giftideasforher 761,040 POSTS Trend Spotting 4Green engagement rings have come roaring into the spotlight following the engagement of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. In a letter to Bret Taylor, Twitter’s chair, Musk said the site was not thriving as a business or as a vessel for freedom of speech, and “needs to be transformed as a private company”. Twitter is smaller than rival Facebook, with approximately 200 million users. It remains a popular outlet for public messaging for world leaders, businesses, celebrities and journalists.
