Gold Medal Services
If you live or work on base –
especially Defence Establishment
Berrimah and Larrakeyah
Barracks - you have probably
seen our friendly plumbers fixing
water leaks, servicing pumps and
doing all the other things that
plumbers do.
Gold Medal Services has been working
on Territory Defence bases since 2002.
We have a passion for supporting
Defence Operational Capability and
were proud winners of the 2021
Ministers Award for Excellence in the
Defence Industry.
In addition to plumbing, our group of companies also
undertake jet vac truck hydro excavation, CCTV of
underground services, ground penetrating radar (GPR), fire
protection, electrical services and project management.
Signing up to the Veterans Employment
Program this year was an easy decision. We have
always valued the significant skills and experience
that Australian Veterans can offer. As a business
committed to training, we also support all our staff
to develop new skills and knowledge and be the
best that they can be.
So, if you are looking at
transitioning out of Defence
or a family member looking
for a new challenge, give us a
call to find out what
opportunities we have
available.
Mates4Mates Announces
New Regional Manager
Mates4Mates is excited to welcome a new Regional Manager for the Northern Territory,
Marcia Morgan, who is based in Palmerston. A 15-year Australian Army veteran and the
previous Mates4Mates North Queensland Regional Manager, Marcia steps into the role
with a strong background in working with veterans.
Marcia has been with Mates4Mates since 2018 and brings a deep passion for helping the veteran
community and creating meaning through connection.
Marcia will lead the Northern Territory Mates4Mates team to manage the growing services and
activities, including the exercise physiology program, social connection activities, and various clinical
recovery programs which are designed to provide veterans and their families with opportunities to
develop new skills and learn techniques to help them move forward from the impacts of service.
“As a fellow veteran, I realise the importance of the support and connection that Mates4Mates
provides those of us who have served and our families. The positive impact I have seen over the
years is truly inspiring and I look forward to working with veterans in the Territory to help improve
the lives of many more in the future,” she said.
Join Free Hydrotherapy and
Group PT Sessions
While it’s well and truly the dry season, which is the perfect time to enjoy long walks
during the day, Mates4Mates has some other wellbeing options for veterans and their
families to think about too.
Mates4Mates is running free weekly group hydrotherapy and group physical therapy (PT)
Darwin to Join Palmerston
with Wellbeing Centre
Mates4Mates has confirmed there will be two Veteran and Family Wellbeing Centres, one
in Darwin and one in Palmerston, housing a number of support services to create a onestop
provider for veterans and their families.
A brand new centre will open in Darwin at 39 Stuart Highway and work is underway to create
a safe space to access not only Mates4Mates services but other key ex-service organisations
too.
In Palmerston, the interim centre will continue to look after veterans and their families until a new
site is confirmed.
veteran Lockie.
“The two-centre model will provide the best outcomes for veterans and their families, and having
a multi-provider centre with so many services available from a range of organisations is going to be
fantastic,” said Mates4Mates Northern Territory Regional Manager, Marcia Morgan.
who are looking for support or more information about Mates4Mates
