(A servant enters.)

SERVANT: Madam, the guests are here, and

your presence is requested.

LADY CAPULET: We will follow you.

(Servant exits.)

Juliet, Paris is waiting for you.

NURSE: Go, my girl. Happy days will lead to

happy nights!

(Lady Capulet, Juliet, and Nurse exit.)

Scene 4

(A street in Verona. Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio

enter, with five or six others. The others are wearing

party masks.)

ROMEO: How shall we present ourselves?

Should we just go in silently?

BENVOLIO: We don’t have to say anything

As we go in. Let them take us as they will.

We’ll have a dance, and then be gone.
