Lovely day out as we visit our historic county town in the heart of 'Hardy's country and<br />

boasting elegant 18th century houses, interesting museums, plenty of places to eat and<br />

some good shopping. Afterwards we head to one of the county's gems - the beautiful,<br />

historic town of Sherborne. With an abundance of medieval buildings, superb Abbey, world<br />

famous Schools and picturesque Almshouse, the town has a lovely intimate atmosphere<br />

and is a delight to explore with an array of independent shops selling a variety of goods,<br />

including fashion boutiques and Art & Antique Dealers. Good value local day out.<br />

Sidmouth<br />

Situated on the Jurassic Coast of Devon, Sidmouth has a unique charm and an atmosphere of years gone by. Around the town there are beautiful<br />

gardens where you can relax a while, leisurely walks and a delightful level Esplanade with views along the coastline. There are some excellent friendly<br />

independent shops in Sidmouth, and a range of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Adult/Over 60s £23.00 | Under 17s - £12.00<br />

Cirencester & Marlborough<br />

Lovely day out up in to the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds. Enjoy time in Cirencester, the largest town in the Cotswolds and quintessentially<br />

English. Wander through the narrow streets, lined with the typical stone houses of the region and plenty of independent shops. Highlights include the<br />

main Market Square with the impressive Parish Church of St. John Baptist and the lovely parks around the town. On our way home we stop in to<br />

Buckingham Palace - The State Rooms<br />

For 10 weeks in the Summer months, the magnificent State Rooms are opened to the public. The rooms are furnished with many of the greatest<br />

treasures from the Royal Collection including paintings by Van Dyck and Canaletto,<br />

sculpture by Canova and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world. In<br />

celebration of The Queen's historic Platinum Jubilee in <strong>2022</strong>, The State Rooms at<br />

Buckingham Palace will feature a display looking at The Queen's Accession to the throne in<br />

February 1952. We suggest you bring a packed lunch to have before entering as catering is<br />

limited in the area. The Garden Café overlooks the magnificent lawn and offers a selection<br />

of refreshments as you leave the Palace. Limited places available. Price includes entrance<br />

SS Shieldhall - Southampton to Poole with Stompers Jazz Band<br />

Join us for this special experience as we board the remarkable SS Shieldhall – the largest<br />

working steam ship in Britain. A member of the National Historic Fleet she serves as a sea<br />

going tribute to Britain’s maritime heritage – experience the golden age of steam! On this 6<br />

hour one way trip to Poole Quay from Southampton you will see the sights of Poole<br />

Harbour, passing Brownsea Island and Sandbanks, Old Harry Rocks, Hengistbury Head, The Needles and Southampton Water. During the cruise enjoy<br />

the sounds of the Stompers Jazz Band! As part of your cruise, see the impressive engine room with its original steam engines at work and the bridge,<br />

there is a superb selection of restaurants to choose from - Nando's, Pizza Express, Five Guys, Wagamama and many more... The massive Ikea store is<br />

close by if you want some inspirational ideas for the home. The new £70 million WestQuay Watermark development is open with a new public plaza<br />

created and a host of new restaurants, bars and leisure facilities available. Plenty of other sights to see in the centre of Southampton.<br />

Kew Gardens<br />

Come along for a lovely day out to Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Plenty to<br />

see at this fantastic destination including amazing treetop views from the spectacular<br />

Rhizotron and Xstrata walkway. With magnificent glasshouses and beautifully landscaped<br />

gardens, this once royal residence represents 250 years of historical gardens. Join a guided<br />

tour around the Gardens on the Kew Explorer land train and learn about Kew's flora and<br />

fauna, historic buildings and vital conservation work. Includes entrance.<br />
