Since
most missions had two priests working together, and they often moved from one mission to another, the quotations cannot be attributed to individuals, but here are the names of the priests working at these missions at the time: San Diego, Fernando Martín and José Sanchez; San Gabriel, José de Miguel and José María Zalvidea; San Miguel, Juan Martín or Juan Cabot; San Antonio, Pedro Cabot and Juan Bautista Sancho.
