ARAPAHOE COUNTY
APPOINTS ITS FOUNDATIONAL
BOARD OF HEALTH
I want to update you on the formation of the new Arapahoe
County Public Health Department.
Commencing on January 1, 2023, the new
Arapahoe County Health Department will be
responsible for public health services. Until
that time, Arapahoe County residents will
continue receiving all public health services
from Tri-County Health Department
(TCHD).
In June, a critical milestone
was reached as five individuals
were appointed to the
Foundational Board of Health
George Lantz (BOH). The Arapahoe County
glantz@
Board of Health has
303-486-5741 responsibility for the County’s
public health department. The
foundational BOH members will focus on
ensuring that Arapahoe County Public Health
is operational by January 1, 2023.
Following an extensive outreach process and
consistent with the State Statute, the
Arapahoe County Commissioners appointed
five individuals with staggered terms.
The Commissioners selected:
Arapahoe County Commissioner
Nancy Sharpe, Board Chairman
(term to expire on December 31, 2023)
Arapahoe County Commissioner
Nancy Jackson
(term to expire on December 31, 2023)
Bebe Kleinman
(term to expire on December 31, 2025)
Dr. Heather Signorelli
(term to expire on December 31, 2025)
Shawn Davis
(term to expire on December 31, 2027)
On June 29, the new health board appointed
Jennifer Ludwig as the new Director. Most
recently, Ms. Ludwig was the Deputy
Director of the Tri-County Health
Department.
months. The event will include games, music, and a
magnificent fireworks display as the finale. You will need
