SITTING DOWN WITH
REDA Reda Khadra
KHADRA
An exciting talent who believes he can
become a Premier League footballer under
Paul Heckingbottom at Bramall Lane.
Speaking exclusively for the first time as a Blade,
following his loan switch from Brighton & Hove
Albion, a deal that could become a permanent
transfer, Reda Khadra says he has joined United
with a clear ambition and desire to better himself
having caught the eye of many Unitedites and
the boss during a temporary stint with Blackburn
Rovers last term.
The 21-year-old scored against the Blades on
his first league start for Rovers at Ewood Park last
November, before giving United the runaround
at times in the reverse fixture at S2 and despite
seeing a second half penalty saved by Wes
Foderingham, the German had already done
enough to become a player United would register
an interest in during the close season.
But it was following discussions between himself
and Heckingbottom that Khadra realised their
ambitions aligned and subsequently, despite
lengthy negotiations, a deal was thrashed out
between the two clubs, with United having the
option to buy should certain criteria be met over the
coming months.
