Jimmy Hagan...<br />

For those fans who<br />

saw him play,<br />

Jimmy Hagan was<br />

the greatest outfield player<br />

the club has ever had.<br />

He was such an influential<br />

player in scoring and<br />

creating goals as well as<br />

delighting fans with his<br />

ball skills.<br />

In a career with <strong>United</strong><br />

stretching from November<br />

1938 to June 1958 he<br />

appeared in 361 league<br />

games and scored 117<br />

goals. These stats may have<br />

been even more impressive<br />

but for the loss of part of his<br />

playing career because of<br />

the Second World War.<br />

After retiring from<br />

playing, Hagan moved into<br />
