WOMEN’S UPDATE
United Women have a new
permanent venue for the 2022-23
season with Neil Redfearn’s side
joining the men’s team at Bramall Lane.
After playing the last two seasons at
Chesterfield’s Technique Stadium, the
Blades will be returning to the heart of the
city for all league and cup games for the
upcoming season.
After playing two games in S2 last
season, the Blades are now set to
enter their fifth season in the Barclays
Women’s Championship, looking to
attract more fans confirming the Lane as
their new home.
United Women’s general manager, Zoe
Johnson, said: “It was fantastic for the
players to get a number of opportunities
across last season to play at Bramall Lane.
“The move shows how connected this
club is and how dedicated we all are to
our women’s team. Every time we play at
the Lane it gives our supporters a chance
to watch our women’s team represent the
club in this historic stadium.
“To call Bramall Lane our home is a
special moment for everyone involved.”
