WOMEN’S UPDATE<br />

<strong>United</strong> Women have a new<br />

permanent venue for the 2022-23<br />

season with Neil Redfearn’s side<br />

joining the men’s team at Bramall Lane.<br />

After playing the last two seasons at<br />

Chesterfield’s Technique Stadium, the<br />

Blades will be returning to the heart of the<br />

city for all league and cup games for the<br />

upcoming season.<br />

After playing two games in S2 last<br />

season, the Blades are now set to<br />

enter their fifth season in the Barclays<br />

Women’s Championship, looking to<br />

attract more fans confirming the Lane as<br />

their new home.<br />

<strong>United</strong> Women’s general manager, Zoe<br />

Johnson, said: “It was fantastic for the<br />

players to get a number of opportunities<br />

across last season to play at Bramall Lane.<br />

“The move shows how connected this<br />

club is and how dedicated we all are to<br />

our women’s team. Every time we play at<br />

the Lane it gives our supporters a chance<br />

to watch our women’s team represent the<br />

club in this historic stadium.<br />

“To call Bramall Lane our home is a<br />

special moment for everyone involved.”<br />
