was unveiled in 1956. By 1957 the company had relocated to California,

was sold in kit form and as a finished car. I’m not sure if it was designed
around the Henry J frame, but that was the most common undercarriage
due to the independent front suspension and proper wheelbase. If I remember
correctly, some cars were also built on the Volkswagen platform,
which required fairly extensive work to the car’s rear. LaDawri ended up
with a full lineup of cars, both full-size and compact. Between personal
innovation and the purchasing of competitors, they became the largest
fibreglass car manufacturer in the United States, going until 1965 when
the company shut down. I’ve seen several LaDawri projects popping up
for sale lately, so if you want one, they’re out there.
