Ranger ticket prices
The 2022-23 Hamilton Townshi
Rangers and Mid-State League ticket
prices are - high school contests: $7 for
adults and students; middle school contests:
$5 for adults and students. Senior
citizens will be admitted free of charge at
home events. Home event tickets will be
sold through the link above. No cash tickets
will be sold. Away games may also only
offer online ticket sales, depending on the
opponent and their ticket policy. Ticket
prices for OHSAA Tournament contests
will be the ticket rate set by the OHSAA
and the Central District Athletic Board.
Blood drive
Did you know about 62 percent of the
U.S. population is eligible to give blood,
but, only about 3 percent does?
By making an appointment to help save
lives with the American Red Cross in
August, donors can pump up the blood supply
and keep it from falling to shortage levels.
Platelet donors are especially needed
now.
As a thank-you, all who come to give
Aug. 1-31 will be automatically entered for
a chance to win gas for a year, a $6,000
value. There will be three lucky winners.
Everyone who comes to give blood or
platelets in August will also receive a $10
e-gift card to a merchant of choice. Donors
can schedule an appointment to give using
the Red Cross Blood Donor app, by visiting
RedCrossBlood.org or by calling 1-800-
RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
The next local blood drive will be in
Groveport on Aug. 29 from 1-7 p.m. at St
Mary’s Church Groveport, 5684 Groveport
Road.
9/11 remembrance
A remembrance ceremony for 9/11 will
be held Sept. 11 at 1 pm. The program will
be held at Motts Military Museum at 5075
S Hamilton Road in Groveport. More information
will be available soon.
Library School Help Centers
The Columbus Metropolitan Library’s
School Help Centers for grades K-12 open
Aug. 22 with staff and volunteers are ready
to help. These after-school spaces give your
students access to technology, resources
and the library’s catalog of books and
materials.

Lockbourne Village Council meets the
second and fourth Mondays of each month
at 7 p.m. Council will meet in-person at
the Lockbourne Municipal Building, 85

Hamilton Local Board of Education
meetings are held at 6 p.m. at the
Hamilton Local Education Center, 775
Rathmell Road, Columbus. For information

Obetz Farmer’s Market
The Obetz Farmers’ Market is held on
the first Wednesday of the month from 4-7
p.m. through September in downtown
Obetz (across from 4256 Groveport Road,
Obetz). It offers a selection of baked goods,
produce, meats, eggs, and crafts.
Emergency services
Emergency medical, fire, and rescue services
in the Obetz area are provided by either
the Hamilton Township Fire Department or
Madison Township Fire Department depending
on your location. For non-emergencies,
call the Hamilton Township Fire
Department at (614) 491-1013. The Madison
Township Fire Department may be reached
at (614) 837-7883.
Splash Pad
The Splash Pad in Obetz will operate
until Sept. 5. Use of the facility is free and it
is open to residents and non-residents.
Hours are Monday - Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the city of Obetz, “The
Splash Pad is intended to be used by individuals
12 years and under. Individuals
under the age of 12 must be accompanied
by someone who is 16 years of age or older.
Individuals that are 13 years of age or
older may enter the Splash Pad if supervising
children 6 years of age and under or an
individual with special needs.”
The Lancaster Park shelter house is
available for all Splash Pad visitors. It is
not available for rentals.
