She is survived by: her children, Penny (Ivin) Mirolo, Gina (Mark) Prout, Jay (Jessica) Mirolo, Tina (Grover) Bridges, and Brian (Robin) Mirolo; her grandchildren, Chad Mirolo, Carter Mirolo, Brooke Mirolo, Tyler Mirolo, Kendra Mirolo, Haylah Mirolo, Alyvia Bridges, Isaiah Bridges, and Amayah Bridges; her siblings, Cynthia (Brad) Parsley, Chrystal (Jimmy) Johnson and John F. Nelson Jr; and her special nephew, John John Golden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mirolo, and her parents. Connie was an over-the-road truck driver, often partnering with her husband serving in the transportation industry. Over the last years, though, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She has left many memories and will be sorely missed. The family received friends and family at Rader-McDonald-Tidd Funeral Home, West Jefferson, on Aug. 22 and held a Celebration of Life in her memory. HOPKINS Mary Ruth Hopkins, 88, of London died on Aug. 19, 2022, in London Health and Rehabilitation. Born on Jan. 7, 1934, in Rock Camp, Ohio, she was a daughter of William Luke and Cleo (Stilner) Hopkins. Mary Ruth was an Army veteran and had worked and retired from the former Purex/Dial Corp. in London. She had attended the former Open Bible Church. The matriarch, pioneer and staple of her family, Mary Ruth served as the family chauffeur, chaperone, mother, disciplinarian and loving aunt, sister and sister-in-law for all of the immediate and extended family. Survivors include: her brother, John David (Debbie) Faulkner of Wapakoneta; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Roger Cox; good friends, Ray and Claudia Justice of London and Bill and Connie Eberle of Florida. She was preceded in death by: her father, William Luke Hopkins; mother, Cleo Hopkins-Faulkner; stepfather, Gilbert Faulkner; sisters, Pricey Jo Hayes, Rose Cox, Georgia Adams and Susie Lewis; brothers, Frank Hopkins, William Luke Hopkins Jr., Clayborn Hopkins and Gilbert “Phil” Faulkner; best friend and companion, Lucky. Johnson, 64, of Mount Sterling, Ohio, passed away on Aug. 20, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born on July 6, 1958, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Charles and Ima Jean (Sparkman) Hines. Donna loved spending time with family and friends, traveling to her favorite places—Amish country, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. She was a Halloween enthusiast and loved going to the Halloween campout at Deer Creek State Park. Donna was preceded in death by: her father, Charles Hines; mother-in-law and best friend, Loretta Johnson; and good friends, Phil Yahn and Jonelle Peake. Donna is survived by: her mother, Ima Jean (Sparkman) Hines; children, Thomas Johnson Jr. of Mount Sterling, Jennifer and Keith Wilson Jr. of Washington Court House; siblings, Danny (Nancy) Hines and Richard Hines, both of Washington Court House, and Susan (Kevin) Manns of Washington Court House; the father of her children, Michael (Kathe) Johnson; brother-in-law, Keith (Karen) Johnson; sister-in-law, April Hines; grandchildren, Emily, Danielle, Desiree, and Ethan Johnson, Abby Harris; children she loved as her own grandchildren, Kendall and Kyra Bennett, Olivia and Caleb Layton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; life-long friends, Brenda Yahn, Linda Cummings, Kim Rutherford, and Debbie Cavener. Visitation and a funeral service was held on Aug. 25, at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mount Sterling. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. A dinner followed the burial services at the Lions Club in Jeffersonville. BALDWIN Gary Conley Baldwin, 72, of London, Ohio, passed away on Aug. 22, 2022, at Springfield Regional Medical Center with family there. He was born on Sept. 21, 1949, in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Willard Russell and Opal Beatrice (Tagg) Baldwin. At a very early age, Gary contracted polio which left him with life-long limitations. He learned to overcome and was able to do whatever he set his mind to. As a young man, he enjoyed hunting, camping and swimming. He moved to Madison County in 1960 but loved returning to the hills to visit extended family. He attended Madison-Plains High School and then worked for Doctors West Hospital for over 20 years in the food service department. Gary loved to draw and was often found enjoying a cup of coffee at a local restaurant and practicing his art on the napkins. During the years he worked at Doctors West, he would often decorate the cafeteria windows with his art for various holidays. In 2016 his artwork was displayed and sold at the 9th Annual Art and Soul art exhibition in Xenia, Ohio. His artwork was also made into Christmas cards which were sold to support the Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Gary loved to banter and tease and never lost an opportunity to do so but could also just sit quietly and take in the conversations around him. He loved family gatherings with all the food and singing that was always a part of the day. Gary was preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents, Ervin and Lillie (Wilson) Tagg and William and Garnet (Sheets) Baldwin; brothers, Paul Franklin, Lewis Russell, and John William Baldwin; sister, Hildah Faye Gilliam; niece, Penny Jean Baldwin; and nephew, Neal Wayne Gilliam. He is survived by his brothers, Ervin Leroy (Carol) Baldwin and Earl David (Sherry) Baldwin. Gary was loved dearly by nieces and nephews, Ervin Leroy Baldwin Jr., Patty Jill Baldwin Newsome, John William Baldwin Jr., Russell Wade Baldwin, Adrian Matthew Baldwin, Bruce Alan Baldwin, Stan Alan Potter, Nita Jo Potter Saultz, Tina Faye Potter Carter, Carl Kay Gilliam Carter, Phil Wayne Gilliam, Rachel Renee Baldwin Bidwell, and Annie Cherie Baldwin Clifton. Gary also is survived by 28 great-nieces and nephews and 28 greatgreat nieces and nephews. His legacy lives on through them. Calling hours were held on Aug. 26 and a funeral service was held on Aug. 27, both at Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, London. Stan Potter officiated.
