and his grip loosened on the gun. I yanked it and it came free. Before<br />
he could react I travelled back to my own time. I collapsed into my<br />
time, sweating. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. I could<br />
still feel the adrenaline coursing through my system.<br />
Over the next few days, I continued to time travel and fix<br />
the past. One day I stumbled upon an event that I had somehow<br />
missed: the 1916 Rising in Ireland. It might not have been significant<br />
for the world, but it was significant to Ireland. People had died in<br />
that Rising, and therefore it was my duty to save their lives and to<br />
hopefully make their future that little bit better. I did my research as<br />
usual, but it took me a bit longer than some other events. There were<br />
so many small battles in this rising and I had to research every one<br />
in order to effectively save lives. When I felt that I was ready to go I<br />
steeled myself and time travelled.<br />
I appeared in a dark room, the green light from my hand<br />
giving a tiny bit of illumination for a few seconds. I stumbled around<br />
in the dark until I found a door handle. I burst out into an alleyway.<br />
I checked my watch. I had found out the exact time that every shot<br />
was fired and I needed to keep to a strict schedule if I wanted to<br />
succeed. I dashed out onto a street and got my bearings. I was on<br />
O’Connell Street, or what is now called O’Connell Street. It was<br />
then called Sackville Street, although people had started to call it
