José Bastos, rally driver!<br />

he third guest from our LM Stars feature is rally driver José<br />
Bastos. The 23-year-old has been a <strong>LIQUI</strong> <strong>MOLY</strong> powered by<br />
AleCarPeças driver since 2020 when he was crowned Junior<br />
champion of the mono-make competition Kia Picanto GT Cup. He now<br />
competes in the FPAK Junior Team, a rallying trophy created by the<br />
Portuguese Federation to promote young talents. Born in Lisboa and<br />
residing in Cascais, José started his automobile apprentice through<br />
karting in 2008. He won in his rookie year and collected several<br />
trophies afterwards. After the experience in the Picanto Cup, he<br />
shifted his attention to rallying, winning another national motorsport<br />
contest — the FIA Rally Star. And with it, the chance to prove himself<br />
among the best talents in Europe, where he left an excellent<br />
impression. 2022 marks his first year in rallying, where everything is<br />
different compared to circuit racing — even if he‘s driving a familiar<br />
