Nothing like a different environment to gather the team and 

discuss new ideas to face the challenges ahead! Our Sales 

& Marketing Director Sadhna Monteiro surprised everyone 

with a late change of plans that took the Portuguese team for a 

group breakfast. There, we had a pleasant exchange on new ways of 

tackling the business and supporting the growth of our family. The 

smiles on everyone‘s faces highlight the positive team spirit. And 

paves the way for what future new colleagues can expect from our 

side: a deep commitment to our LM family, trustful partners, and 

passionate clients!

LIQUI MOLY Stars: introducing 

José Bastos, rally driver! 

PORTUGAL 

T 

he third guest from our LM Stars feature is rally driver José 

Bastos. The 23-year-old has been a LIQUI MOLY powered by 

AleCarPeças driver since 2020 when he was crowned Junior 

champion of the mono-make competition Kia Picanto GT Cup. He now 

competes in the FPAK Junior Team, a rallying trophy created by the 

Portuguese Federation to promote young talents. Born in Lisboa and 

residing in Cascais, José started his automobile apprentice through 

karting in 2008. He won in his rookie year and collected several 

trophies afterwards. After the experience in the Picanto Cup, he 

shifted his attention to rallying, winning another national motorsport 

contest — the FIA Rally Star. And with it, the chance to prove himself 

among the best talents in Europe, where he left an excellent 

impression. 2022 marks his first year in rallying, where everything is 

different compared to circuit racing — even if he‘s driving a familiar

José‘s rally car has a 1.0 turbo gasoline 

engine with 150 hp. Despite 

knowing his machine from previous 

experiences, the LM driver assures 

rallying is a world apart. Among quick 

and more experienced competitors, 

he had to master the challenge of having 

a co-driver next to him, defining 

and understanding notes, and letting 

the front and rear slide into the corners 

— something totally different 

from circuit racing. Two podiums in 

the last two events indicate that good 

things are coming.

LIQUI MOLY and AleCarPeças climb 

to the podium in Rallye do Vidreiro! 

PORTUGAL 

Rally driver José Bastos celebrated the best result of his tender 

career in the sport with another solid performance at the wheel 

of the Kia Picanto GT in Marinha Grande. In only his fifth event, 

the penultimate round of the 2022 FPAK Junior Team competition 

Rallye do Vidreiro, the LIQUI MOLY powered by AleCarPeças talent 

finished his class in 2nd place and won the third of the event‘s nine 

stages, taking another step in his development! The stakes are getting 

higher and higher for the next and final 2022 event, Rallye de Viana do 

Castelo, due to take place between 25-26 November.

We can‘t resist looking at Augusto Machado‘s LIQUI MOLY 

Honda CBR! Our fast rider took the opportunity to share 

some more pictures about his heroics in the 4th round of 

the TLC Open-R Championship. Naturally, we couldn‘t get hold of 

them just for us and had to share them with you. Steady in the box 

of the Estoril Circuit or sliding through one of the historic venue‘s 

famous corners, the end result of this decoration is simply stunning.

Circuito Yepes Mx goes wild with 

LIQUI MOLY‘s presence

With 90 riders showing their skills and more than 300 people 

at the circuit cheering for them, the Circuito Yepes Mx was 

a success for LIQUI MOLY. As demonstrated by these young 

riders smiling faces, we managed to create powerful connections 

with this community. But also showcase our oils and additives while 

spreading the word to kids aged 4 to 12 with our colorful presence. 

Present at the event in Toledo was also our young rider Juan de la 

Cierva. The 8-year-old finished the race in 4th position.

Anew shop in the region of Sevilla, Recambios Medina promoted 

a LIQUI MOLY Day through our commercial team to ignite sales 

and develop even further our brand. José Garcia, from the LM 

Iberia commercial team, coordinated this impactful action, as clients 

kept entering the store to gather more information and purchase our 

products. The memorable day brought the two companies together 

and showcased our quality oils, lubricants, additives, and service
