Compressors and systems<br />

Biomethane as a fuel<br />

operation, the compressor module<br />

delivers 8640 kg of biomethane in a<br />

24-hour period. Integrated filter and<br />

post-drying cartridges installed on<br />

the high-pressure side clean the compressed<br />

gas and remove residual<br />

moisture from it.<br />

As in most applications, the storage<br />

is used here as a 3-bank system<br />

consisting of three individual<br />

sub-storages, the high, medium and<br />

low banks. This division allows an<br />

optimum utilization rate. Thanks to<br />

the larger quantity of gas available,<br />

ve hicle refuelling can be carried out<br />

in immediate succession.<br />

The filling and refuelling control<br />

regulates the priority filling of the<br />

high-pressure accumulator and the<br />

sequential gas withdrawal from the<br />

high-pressure accumulator. It is possible<br />

to control one or more filling<br />

lines.<br />

The dispensing device can be<br />

designed with a flow measuring<br />

device (display of the dispensed<br />

refuelling quantity in kg or m³) as well<br />

as a display field with the indication<br />

of the specific gas price as well as the<br />

total price in the desired currency.<br />

The filling and refuelling control system<br />

regulates the filling process and<br />

thus ensures economical refueling<br />

with short filling times at the same<br />

time.<br />

For the operation of a public service<br />

station, the use of a fuel dispenser<br />

is required by law. The display<br />

shows both the unit price, the quantity<br />

refuelled and the final price at<br />

the same time. The dispensers are<br />

available with one or two hoses and<br />

with one or two devices for mass<br />

flow measurement. This allows either<br />

separate or simultaneous vehicle<br />

refuelling on both sides of the dispenser.<br />

With an automatic fuel dispenser,<br />

it is possible to realize an accounting<br />

of the fuel data without a manned<br />

cashier's store. With regard to operation,<br />

the different fuel dispenser<br />

models can be optionally tailored to<br />

fleet card operation and/or credit<br />

card operation. All of the company’s<br />

large systems offer interfaces for<br />

optional connection to an Internetcapable<br />

PC or cell phone. This allows<br />

the operator to monitor the operating<br />

status remotely around the clock.<br />

Comprehensive and seamless project<br />

management <strong>–</strong> a core competence<br />

According to customer specifications<br />

and in close consultation, BAUER project<br />

engineers first select the best<br />

location for the filling station. Special<br />

focus is placed on exact compliance<br />

with applicable legal regulations.<br />

By minimizing explosion<br />

protection zones and tailoring the<br />

size of the refuelling systems, the<br />

supplier is able to find an optimal<br />

solution for installation even in difficult<br />

space conditions. After installation,<br />

the complete piping of the sys-<br />

tem including all pressure lines from<br />

the compressor to the storage tank<br />

and further to the dispensing point or<br />

dispenser is carried out according to<br />

the relevant guidelines. This is followed<br />

by an inspection by an approved<br />

acceptance organization, such as the<br />

TÜV. The project team coordinates<br />

the necessary scheduling with the<br />

companies and authorities involved.<br />

Service technicians carry out the<br />

electrical wiring of both the compressor<br />

unit and the dispenser/dispenser<br />

in accordance with the agreed plans.<br />

Only a high-voltage connection must<br />

be provided by the operator. After<br />

installation, the compressor unit is<br />

booted for the first time and thoroughly<br />

checked again.<br />

The supplier takes over the entire<br />

project organization. It ranges from<br />

the installation and commissioning<br />

of the compressor storage unit and<br />

the dispenser technology to the precise<br />

coordination of deadlines. As a<br />

result, commissioning can usually<br />

take place after just a few days. After<br />

a successful assembly at the installation<br />

site, the installation is inspected<br />

by an expert. This acceptance at the<br />

installation site is also carried out by<br />

the service team together with the<br />

respective supervisory authority. The<br />

comprehensive service also includes<br />

detailed instruction of authorized<br />
