while its sense organ is the nose. Dry environments adversely
affect this meridian by drying the skin, nose, and lung. Its
alarm point is LU1, and its association point is BL13. The
Lung meridian is paired with the Large Intestine meridian
and is used to treat and diagnose respiratory problems, skin
diseases,and front leg lameness.
The Large Intestine meridian is a Yang meridian and contains
carpus or knee. This meridian crosses laterally over the knee
and up over the elbow and shoulder, across the neck and
cheek to end on the opposite side just below the nostrils. Its
peak energy is between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Paired with the
Lung Meridian, it is also associated with the skin and hair. Its
sense organ is the nose. The alarm point is ST25, and the association
point is BL25. The Large Intestine meridian can be
useful for diarrhea, colic, and front leg lameness.
