affect this meridian by drying the skin, nose, and lung. Its<br />

alarm point is LU1, and its associ<strong>at</strong>ion point is BL13. The<br />

Lung meridian is paired with the Large Intestine meridian<br />

and is used to tre<strong>at</strong> and diagnose respir<strong>at</strong>ory problems, skin<br />

diseases,and front leg lameness.<br />

The Large Intestine meridian is a Yang meridian and contains<br />

20 points. Starting on the craniomedial aspect of the<br />

coronary band, it travels up the inside of the forelimb to the<br />

carpus or knee. This meridian crosses l<strong>at</strong>erally over the knee<br />

and up over the elbow and shoulder, across the neck and<br />

cheek to end on the opposite side just below the nostrils. Its<br />

peak energy is between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. Paired with the<br />

Lung Meridian, it is also associ<strong>at</strong>ed with the skin and hair. Its<br />

sense organ is the nose. The alarm point is ST25, and the associ<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

point is BL25. The Large Intestine meridian can be<br />

useful for diarrhea,colic,and front leg lameness.<br />
