What’s happening at the library<br />
Houston Library, 5 W. Jamestown St., South<br />
Charleston, offers the following activities. For details,<br />
call (937) 462-8047.<br />
• Snowman Scavenger Hunt. Jan. 9-31 for ages 2-12.<br />
Find the hidden snowmen in the children’s room to receive<br />
a package of “Snowman Fluffs.” Limit one package<br />
per child, while supplies last.<br />
• Snowman Activity Bag. Between Jan. 9 and Jan.<br />
31, children ages 2-12 are invited to pick up these activity<br />
bags to take home, while supplies last.<br />
• LEGO Club. This club for school-aged children<br />
meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays<br />
of the month. The library supplies the Legos. Creations<br />
stay on display at the library between meetings.<br />
• Storytime. Sessions will take place at 11 a.m.<br />
Thursdays Jan. 12-May 18 for children age 2 and older.<br />
Storytime introduces toddlers and preschoolers to<br />

books, rhymes, music, and crafts, and teaches them how<br />
to interact with other children their age. Fun, interactive<br />
stories foster imagination and a love for reading.<br />

• Pokemon. The Pokemon Trading Card Game<br />
(TCG) Club meets at 3:30 p.m. the third Monday of each<br />
month. The next session is Jan. 16. Bring your own<br />
cards.<br />
• Board Game Night. Adults are welcome to play<br />
games from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Jim and Kim Breeze<br />
will provide games and instruction.<br />
• Saturday Movie Matinee. Once a month, the library<br />
is offering a variety of movies for children, teens,<br />
and adults, including classics and musicals. The next<br />
matinee is 1 p.m. Jan. 21. Call the library at (937) 462-<br />
8047 for the movie title. The library provides snacks or<br />
bring your own.
