Siempre se ha dicho que detrás de un

gran hombre siempre hay una gran

mujer, pues bien yo siempre he dicho

que dentro de un gran piloto siempre

hay una gran persona.

Digo gran piloto porque grandes

pilotos son todos, por pequeña que

sea su estatura, su edad o sus logros,

si son conocidos o si no los conoce

nadie.

Esos magos de la conducción que

siempre van al limite sea cual sea su

velocidad, siempre luchando con el

mayor de sus enemigos, “El Crono”.

Pilot & Person, con unos objetivos que

me he propuesto cumplir, el primero

de ellos es dar a conocer pilotos del

Motorsport y su lado más humano

mediante entrevistas entretenidas

pero sobre todo lo más divertidas

posibles.

Conocer a pilotos que en muchas de

las ocasiones ni habíamos oído hablar

de ellos, pero detrás de cada piloto

siempre hay una bonita historia, un

sacrificio, una lucha diaria, unas

lagrimas, unas sonrisas, una

recompensa, etc.

Espero que la mayoría de estas

entrevistas sean de su agrado ya que

las hice con toda mi ilusión pensando

en todos los aficionados a estos

deportes.

It has always been said that behind a

great man there is always a great

woman, well I have always said that

within a great pilot there is always a

great person.

I say great pilot because they are all

great pilots, no matter how small

their stature, their age or their

achievements, if they are known or if

nobody knows them.

Those driving magicians who always

go to the limit whatever their speed,

always fighting with the greatest of

their enemies, "the chronometer".

Pilot & Person, with some objectives

that I have set myself to fulfill, the

first of which is to make Motorsport

drivers and their most human side

known through entertaining but

above all the most fun interviews

possible.

Meeting pilots who on many

occasions we had never even heard

of, but behind each pilot there is

always a beautiful story, a sacrifice,

a daily fight, tears, smiles, a reward,

etc.

I hope that most of these interviews

are to your liking since I did them

with all my enthusiasm thinking of all

fans of these sports.

Mi nombre es Jorge Pérez formo parte del Equipo KOF como Piloto, y Director Técnico-

Deportivo de varios campeonatos, soy deportista desde que nací en el año 1976, estoy vinculado

al mundo del motor desde el 2007

De muy pequeño ya mostré un gran interés por el mundo de la competición, y finalmente me

decanté por el mundo del ciclismo sin dejar de lado el atletismo, pero dada la peligrosidad del

ciclismo de carretera tras unos meses de adaptación, pasé al mundo del atletismo donde gané

carreras de forma amateur, no perdiéndome ninguna carrera popular o benéfica, un deporte que me

encantaba y donde tenía previsto dar el salto a algún equipo para competir de forma federada.

En el año 2004 sufrí un grave accidente el cual

me dejó (una minusvalía) graves secuelas físicas

en tobillos, piernas y muñecas por lo cual ya no

pude continuar la carrera en el mundo del

atletismo ni el ciclismo. Por lo tanto, decidí no

rendirme y quise probar alternativas después de

dos años de intensa rehabilitación.

Tras la mala noticia que me dieron los médicos

informándome que ni siquiera podría volver a

conducir y yo no me rendí.

Primero probé el buceo haciendo un bautismo en La Manga del Mar Menor, oportunidad que me

dió la Fundación Vodafone pero la dificultad de compaginar mi lugar de residencia (Madrid) con

la costa hacía imposible la continuidad por este deporte. Después probé el vuelo sin motor en el

aeródromo de Ocaña (Toledo) gracias a Predif y a la Fundación Vodafone en el cual viví

grandes sensaciones volando durante cincuenta horas, disfrutando de lo que es pilotar un avión.

Pero un día probé el kárting y quedé enganchado a este deporte en el cual estoy inmerso hasta el

momento.

Tras acudir a los circuitos como hobby, en el 2007 gané mi primera carrera en el circuito de

kárting de Cheste, situado en los aledaños del circuito de velocidad Ricardo Tormo a pilotos de

toda España, sin haber entrenado ni conocer hice la también la pole.

Hasta hoy he batido el Record de pista en varios kartódromos como Karting Soto, kárting

Ocaña, Karting Cabanillas, Karting Correcaminos, Centro de Ocio Luis Miguel, Karting Ángel

Burgueño, Karting Barataria, Kotarr, Jarakart...y soy el piloto amateur con minusvalía más

laureado de la historia de España en el karting 4T.

Después de dos años compitiendo la revista digital KARTINGMOTOR en el año 2009 me pidió

mi entrevista a pesar de mi corta trayectoria por lo que estuve encantado en realizarla.

Dentro de mis limitaciones intento entrenar para poder dar todo dentro los circuitos con

resultados y fuera de las pistas dando una excelente imagen de marca a mis patrocinadores,

aunque sea con gimnasia estática.


Hasta el momento soy vigente Campeón de la Copa F400 de Madrid de la WRC , del SKC ,

hexacampeón del CKRC tanto individual como por parejas con mi compañero Carlos Garzón y

bicampeón del KRT, Campeón Powerkart, campeón del Campeonato Social de Cabanillas,

Campeón del Trofeo Hi-speed, Campeón del trofeo Cepsa Endurance Series, así como campeón

de las 3h y de las 12h de Resistencia de Los Santos de la Humosa entre otros muchos triunfos.

También fui nombrado mejor piloto del KRT por dos años consecutivos.

En el 2012 PEPEM (Pilotos Españoles por el mundo) colgó mi ficha como piloto lo que fue todo

un orgullo.

También fuí entrevistado para

RADIO CENTRO TV lo que me fue

una gran experiencia gracias a Raúl

Vaca.

A pesar de que ganar las carreras de

velocidad individuales es muy

satisfactorio, lo que más valoro son

las victorias de resistencia en equipo,

algo que te da un plus de adrenalina y

alegría especial.

En el 2013 fui elegido por PATROCINALOS by MAZZEL como mejor

deportista en una de sus rondas por lo que me apoyaron de forma económica y con materia

deportivo para seguir compitiendo y mejorando, posteriormente fui el ganador de una recompensa

de conducción al límite por mi esfuerzo y superación.

Fui elegido mejor piloto KRT 2013 y 2014, premio que valora el pilotaje, la deportividad dentro y

fuera de pista, así como el compromiso con el campeonato.

los que conseguí grandes triunfos.


My name is Jorge Pérez I am part of the KOF Team as a Pilot, and Technical-Sports Director of

several championships, I am an athlete since I was born in 1976, I am linked to the world of

motor since 2007.

As an incredibly young man I already showed a great interest in the world of competition, and

finally I decided on the world of cycling without leaving aside athletics but given the dangers of

road cycling after a few months of adaptation, I went into the world of athletics where I won races

amateurly, not missing any popular or charitable races, a sport that I loved and where I planned to

make the leap to some team to compete in a federated way.

In 2004 I suffered a serious accident which left me (a handicap)

serious physical sequelae on ankles, legs and wrists so I could no

longer continue my career in the world of athletics or cycling.

Therefore, I decided not to give up and wanted to try alternatives

after two years of intense rehabilitation.

After the bad news the doctors gave me informing me

that I could not even drive again, and I did not give up.

First, I tried diving doing a baptism in La Manga del

Mar Menor, an opportunity given to me by the

Vodafone Foundation but the difficulty of combining

my place of residence (Madrid) with the coast made it

impossible to continue for this sport.

Then I tried the engineless flight at the Ocaña airfield (Toledo) thanks to Predif and the

Vodafone Foundation in which I lived great sensations flying for fifty hours, enjoying what it

is like to fly a plane. But one day I tried the karating and was hooked on this sport in which I

am immersed so far.

After attending the circuits as a hobby, in 2007 I won my first race in the Cheste karting circuit,

located in the surroundings of the Ricardo Tormo speed circuit to drivers from all over Spain,

without having trained or known I also did the pole.

To this day I have beaten the Track Record in several kartódromos such as Karting Soto, Karting

Ocaña, Karting Cabanillas, Karting Road Runners, Luis Miguel Leisure Center, Karting Angel

Burgueño, Karting Barataria, Kotarr, Jarakart... and I am the most larure amateur driver with

disabilities in spanish history in 4T karting.

After two years competing the digital magazine KARTINGMOTOR in 2009 he asked me for

my interview despite my short career, so I was delighted to do it.

Within my limitations I try to train so that I can give everything inside the circuits with results

and off the slopes giving an excellent brand image to my sponsors, even if it is with static

gymnastics.


So far I am reigning champion of the Madrid F400 Cup of the WRC, the SKC, tetrachampion of

the CKRC both individually and in pairs with my partner Carlos Garzón and two-time KRT

champion, Champion Powerkart, champion of the Social Championship of Cabanillas, Champion

of the Hi-speed Trophy, Champion of the Cepsa Endurance Series trophy, as well as champion of

the 3h and 12h resistance of Los Santos de la Humosa among many other triumphs. I was also

named krT's best pilot for two consecutive years.

In 2012 PEPEM (Spanish pilots around the world) hung up my chip as a pilot which was a pride.

I was also interviewed for RADIO

CENTRO TV which was a great

experience thanks to Raúl Vaca.

Although winning individual speed

races is very satisfying, what I value

most are team endurance victories,

something that gives you a plus of

adrenaline and special joy.

In 2013 I was chosen by PATROCINALOS by MAZZEL as the best

sportsman in one of his rounds so they supported me financially and with sports matter to

continue competing and improving, I was subsequently the winner of a driving reward to the limit

for my effort and improvement.

I was voted best KRT driver 2013 and 2014, award that values piloting, sportsmanship on and off

piste, as well as commitment to the championship.

Gran parte de mi tiempo en ser relaciones públicas y piloto probador de Kárting Rivas, aun así

conseguí ser campeón del campeonato KRT de la categoría -75 y absoluta, siendo votado como el

mejor piloto de este campeonato.

Tras el trabajo de estos años pude ver cómo me llegaron a conocer internacionalmente y recibí

La empresa LS2 Heltmets confió en mí para ser su imagen en el karting y puede devolverles esta

confianza desde la primera carrera con una victoria.

Durante estos años ejerciendo de piloto de carreras de velocidad y resistencia, piloto probador y

organizador de carreras o eventos me he ha ganado la confianza y el respeto de pilotos y

responsables de los circuitos, algo que no se consigue de un día para otro, si no que es el fruto de

un buen trabajo y saber estar desde el año 2007.

Participé en el Born to be Discovery con un proyecto de resistencia en karting que no fuí

finalmente elegido, pero yo nunca me rindo.

Kárting Rivas confió en mí como piloto probador y asesor para poder realizar el proyecto de crear

un circuito desde cero y poder aportar mis conocimientos sobre esta sección del motor.

Gracias a empresas como L1QUID, el 2014 fue fantástico.

Grandes carreras como las 24h de Villafranca me han servido para seguir aprendiendo de todos

los compañeros de estructura, con los que voy compartiendo box, kart y vivencias, algo muy

enriquecedor tanto a nivel personal como profesional.

Con Lupo pude vivir un gran momento Kárting Arganda depositó su confianza en mí para sus

futuros proyectos profesionales

Gracias a PATROCINALOS y Alejandro pude acudir a la convención y a las oficinas de

MARCA y RADIO MARCA

Día a día lucho con mis dolores residuales que me afectan a mi tren inferior durante las 24h del

día, a base de fuertes medicamentos intento hacer mi vida más llevadera posible, aunque estoy

pendiente de ver a los médicos de la unidad del dolor para que le puedan buscar una solución.

Mientras tanto sigo entrenado cada día, bien sea en pista o fuera de ella para estar listo para

cualquier carrera.

La marca Infisport comenzó a confiar en mi como su imagen y me complementan con la

alimentación y suplementación deportiva

No obstante, quiero dentro de mis posibilidades ser un pequeño ejemplo de que todos dentro de

nuestras capacidades y/o limitaciones podemos ir a más, transmitiendo un mensaje positivo a todo

aquel que tenga una discapacidad y decirles que nunca, nunca se rindan.

A día de hoy tengo el apoyo del CKRC y empresas como Trofesport y LS2 Heltmets, Missile

Energy, Infisport así como circuitos como Kárting Ocaña.

En estos momentos estoy inmerso en varios campeonatos de kárting 4T en los que lucho por la

victoria final, habiendo batido el record de pista en varios circuitos este año una vez más.

Mi objetivo es demostrar a todos que dentro de las limitaciones físicas que tengamos nos

podemos superar y que todos somos iguales deportividad. Enseñando a mi hija los valores del

deporte

Sigo compitiendo en carreras de velocidad y de resistencia como las 24 Hispalenses donde

Oriokart me invitó a participar en su equipo realizando la pole y una fantástica carrera.

En 2017 fui fichado por Missile Energy Drink como su imagen en el mundo del motor.

Pude hacer un face to face contra un piloto de MotoGp gracias a Antonio López y Lázaro Garces

en y Dirt Track Madrid dando un poco de espectáculo y compartiendo pista con Saeed Alsulaiti.

En el 2018 soy fichado por la marca de gafas de sol Wee Dream

La empresa de karts EKR confía en mí para ser director deportivo y de carrera para crear y

gestionar el campeonato a nivel nacional National Rental Series by EKR.

Pude asistir en Motorland a la tests para poder probar el potentíssimo kart de EGTkart de Play and

Drive

También ficho por el equipo de competición KOF para dar un salto en mi “carrera como piloto” y

poder disputar carreras de resistencia en la categoría de Prototipos con lo que he cosechado ya

unos buenos podios y grandes vivencias.

También me convertí en el gestor y director de carrera de la Correcaminos Endurance Serie y

seguir también las carreras desde el muro y no solo como piloto con lo que creo que así se

comprenden mejor las carreras.

Luego ya llegó el 2020 y con el Covid se paralizó todo, pero pudiendo disputar el CKRC y

volverlo a ganar.

Sigo siendo el piloto más laureado y con más títulos del kárting 4T en España algo que no será así

por mucho tiempo ya que mis lesiones cada vez me afectan más al dolor y en no mucho tiempo

tendré que dejar este deporte.

se me cargan las pilas viendo que se valora mi esfuerzo durante estos años, así que seguiré dando

guerra un poquito más en mi equipo KOF.


Much of my time in being public relations and pilot tester of Karting Rivas, I still managed to be

champion of the KRT championship of the -75 and absolute category, being voted the best driver

During these years as a speed and endurance racing driver, tester driver and organizer of races or

events I have earned the trust and respect of drivers and circuit managers, something that is not

achieved overnight, but is the fruit of a good job and know how to be since 2007.

I participated in born to be Discovery with a karting resistance project that I wasn't finally chosen,

but I never give up.

Karting Rivas trusted me as a tester pilot and advisor to be able to carry out the project of creating

a circuit from scratch and being able to contribute my knowledge about this section of the engine.

Thanks to companies like L1QUID, 2014 was fantastic.

Great races like the 24h of Villafranca have served me to continue learning from all the structure

partners, with which I share box, kart and experiences, something very enriching both personally

and professionally.

With Lupo I was able to live a great moment Karting Arganda placed his trust in me for his future

Today I have the support of CKRC and companies such as Trofesport and LS2 Heltmets, Missile

Energy, Infisport as well as circuits such as Kárting Ocaña.

Now I am immersed in several 4T karating championships in which I fight for the final victory,

having broken the track record on several circuits this year once again.

My goal is to show everyone that within the physical limitations we have we can overcome and

that we are all equal sportsmanship. Teaching my daughter, the values of sport

I continue to compete in speed and endurance races like the 24 Hispalenses where Oriokart

invited me to participate in his team performing pole and a fantastic race.

In 2017 I was signed by Missile Energy Drink as its image in the world of motor.

I was able to make a face to face against a MotoGp rider thanks to Antonio López and Lázaro

Garces in and Dirt Track Madrid giving a little show and sharing track with Saeed Alsulaiti. Two

In 2018 I was signed by the sunglasses brand Wee Dream

The kart company EKR relies on me to be sports and race director to create and manage the

national championship National Rental Series by EKR.

I was able to attend the tests in Motorland to be able to try the EGTkart go-kart potentiíssimo of Play

and Drive.

I also trust the KOF competition team to take a leap in my "race as a driver" and be able to

compete endurance races in the Prototypes category with which I have already harvested some

good podiums and great experiences.

I also became the manager and race director of the Endurance RoadRunner Series and also follow

the races from the wall and not just as a driver, so I think this is how the races are better

understood.

Then came 2020 and with covid everything was paralyzed but being able to contest the CKRC

and win it again.

I am still the most laureate driver and with the most titles of the karting 4T in Spain something that

will not be so for long since my injuries affect me more and more pain and in not long, I will have to leave

this sport.

Now what? Well, thanks to this publication en Pilot & Person by Antonio Burgueño I

getthebatteries loaded seeing that my effort is valued during these years, so I will continue to give

war a little more on my KOF team.

Como un amante de los deportes muy fiel y leal con

Un piloto que se concentra mucho en

carrera y que nunca tira la toalla hasta

pasar la bandera a cuadros.

How would you describe yourself as a pilot, for the people who

have not yet seen you compete?

A rider capable of rolling in constant times and able to make a quick lap when necessary. A

driver who concentrates a lot on the race and who never throws in the towel until the

checkered flag is passed.


¿Cuál fue el motivo para decidir

dedicarte a esto del motor?

Hace veinte años competía en atletismo y tras un

grave accidente que me dejó secuelas y tras un año

de operaciones y dos de rehabilitación, ya no pude ni

retomar el atletismo ni ciclismo por lo que tuve que

reinventarme y comenzar a probar el karting, eso sí,

con mucha dificultad física.

What was the reason for deciding to

dedicate yourself to this engine thing?

Twenty years ago, I competed in athletics and after a

serious accident that left me sequels and after a year of

operations and two of rehabilitation, I could no longer

resume athletics or cycling so I had to reinvent myself

and start trying karting, that is, with a lot of physical

difficulty.

Muy ilusionado en el Karting del Circuito ubicado en el parquin del Circuito Ricardo Tormo, en el que

sin conocer la pista logré la pole, vuelta rápida y victoria.

How do you remember your first competition?

Extremely excited in the Karting of the Circuit located in the parking of the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, in

which without knowing the track I achieved pole, fast lap and victory.


¿Cuál es tu mejor recuerdo desde

que empezaste?

Son muchos, todos los vividos en carreras de

resistencia donde todo se comparte, lo malo y lo

bueno pero las 12h de Los Santos fue genial con el

SpeedShark Team con los que fueron mis

compañeros, Ismael Álvarez, Antonio Fajardo, Javier

Bautista, Jonathan Romero, en el año 2013.

What is your best memory

since you started?

There are many, all those lived-in

endurance races where everything is

shared, the bad and the good but the

12h of Los Santos was great with the

SpeedShark Team with which were

my teammates, Ismael Alvarez,

Antonio Fajardo, Javier Bautista,

Jonathan Romero, in 2013.

preparación física realizas?

Por mis lesiones poca preparación puedo hacer, es

más bien a base de fisioterapeutas, medicación y

descanso entre carreras para poder recuperarme.

es suficiente con ser bueno si no tienes

dinero?

entrenar, poder correr o poder preparar bien tu máquina es

Creo que como en otros países deberían tener los karts de competición arco de seguridad, que no

es bonito, pero al final te acostumbras a verlo.

this sport sufficient or do you know any

more that should be implemented?

I think as in other countries they should have safety arc racing

karts, which is not nice but, in the end, you get used to seeing

it.

¿Qué opinión tienen tus amigos y familiares sobre el deporte que

practicas?

Pues que es un poco peligroso por el clavo de mi tibia y otras lesiones ya que una nueva

operación podría empeorar mi estado físico, pero por lo demás están contentos ya que es

una parte de mi vida.

What opinion do your friends and family have

about the sport you play?

Well, it is a little dangerous because of the nail in my tibia and

other injuries as a new operation could worsen my fitness, but

otherwise they are happy as it is a part of my life.


¿Animarías a tus hijos a practicar este deporte?

Sí, creo que es beneficioso a la hora de conducir y circular con automóviles o motocicletas, ya

que te enseñan a tener reflejos y ser mejor conductor, además si corres en un circuito ya dejas

la adrenalina allí y no corres con el turismo.

Would you encourage your children to play this sport?

Yes, I think it is beneficial when it comes to driving and driving with cars or

motorcycles, as they teach you to have reflexes and be a better driver, besides if

you run on a circuit you already leave the adrenaline there and do not run with

tourism.

¿Cuál piensas que es tu mayor virtud y defecto, deportivamente

hablando?

Virtud no soy quién para decirlo, pero defecto puede ser que me exijo tal vez demasiado en

carreras de resistencia por dar lo mejor de mí al conjunto del equipo.

What do you think is your greatest virtue and flaw,

sportingly speaking?

Virtue I'm not the one to say it, but it may be that I demand maybe too much in

endurance races for giving my best to the team as a whole.






¿Te gustaría agradecer a alguna persona o personas que te ayudaron en

momentos difíciles?

Si, a mi mujer e hija que tras un accidente de moto me animaron a no abandonar el CKRC y pude correr

a los cinco días de haber sido operado de la tibia con un clavo intramedular y dos tornillos, pudiendo

acabar en cuarta posición acabando la carrera acelerando con la mano en el pedal.

Would you like to thank someone or people who helped you

through difficult times?

Yes, my wife and daughter who after a motorcycle accident encouraged me not to leave the

CKRC and I was able to run within five days of having been operated on the tibia with an

intramedullary nail and two screws, being able to finish in fourth position finishing the race by

accelerating with my hand on the pedal.

Si hoy mismo terminase tu carrera deportiva en el mundo del motor,

¿Qué valoración harías sobre tu paso por este mundo?

Muy positiva, habiendo conocido a mucha gente, pilotos, gestores de circuitos etc.… y habiendo

demostrado que a pesar de tener una minusvalía física siempre pude estar al máximo nivel.

If you finished your sporting career in the motor world today, what

assessment would you make about your time in this world?

Incredibly positive, having met many people, pilots, circuit managers etc... and having shown

that despite having a physical disability I could always be at the highest level.

¿Hasta dónde te gustaría llegar en el mundo del motor?

A día de hoy ya estoy tocando techo y estoy muy contento donde estoy, así que me quedo corriendo

carreras de resistencia en prototipos y carreras de velocidad en el CKRC.

How far would you like to go in the world of motor?

To this day I am already touching the ceiling and I am incredibly happy where I am, so I'm

running endurance races in prototypes and speed racing at the CKRC.

En la vida conseguir ser el mejor padre posible, enseñado los valores del deporte a mi hija

Adrenalina, velocidad y pasión, si se pierde esto ya no es lo mismo.
