RA 602 CA Radiant tube formed out of 11 ga RA 602 CA sheet. Replaced type HT cast tubes. RA 602 CA tubes preferred due to their lighter weight, which translates into easier installation and greater furnace efficiency. Tube still in service after 18 months no distortion reported. Reference RA Case History 2026. Test of RA 602 CA vs. alloy 600 belly bands on an aluminide coating retort. 69 cycles of operation at 2000°F. RA 602 CA is now specified for this application over alloy 600. See Bulletin 2032 for more details. 14 RA 602 CA liner being formed prior to welding. Liner is replacing alloy 800HT ® in a hydrogen reformer bypass duct. Metal dusting has historically been a problem with the alloy 800HT liners. RA 602 CA coating cans fabricated from 11ga sheet. RA 602 CA replaced Haynes 214 ® alloy. Due to the light gage and temperatures in the 1900- 2000°F range oxidation resistance is critical in this application.
