OMBUDSMEN - For Long Term Care Issues<br />
Ombudsmen investigate complaints about the care of residents in long-term care facilities<br />
and serve as residents’ advocates. They provide mediation and education in an<br />
effort to resolve grievances and increase understanding of long-term care residents’<br />
rights. Long-term care facilities are defined as nursing homes and adult care homes<br />
(rest homes/assisted living).<br />
