Allāh says, “Allāh is the One Who has
subjected the sea for you so that ships may
sail upon it by His command, and that you
may seek His bounty, and that perhaps you
will be grateful.” [Al-Jāthiyah 45:13]
The Prophet Mu#ammad prohibited
denunciation of the world. He said: “Lawful
riches are a benefit to a pious man” [Al-
Bayhaqī in Shu’ab Al-Īmān 1190]. He benefits
because he spends his wealth in meritorious
ways.
